2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport Delivers 370 Horsepower

2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport is being launched just on time and is going to combat the most inclement driving conditions. For this purpose it is equipped with new AWD Sport package. In particular it delivers two powerful engines with horsepower up to 370. In addition, it includes segment’s most advanced all-wheel-drive system for best-in-class V-6 fuel economy, new “blacked out” exterior accents, AWD paddle-shifters with “sport mode”.

The vehicle builds on the success of the rear-wheel drive and blacked-out styled Dodge Charger Blacktop. 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport will be available on the Dodge Charger SXT and SXT Plus AWD models.
Charger AWD Sport package offers includes the following: Gloss Black painted split-crosshair grille and grille surround, 19-inch polished aluminum wheels with Gloss Black pockets, all-season performance tires, the first application of steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters and sport mode transmission calibration in a Charger AWD, rear body-color spoiler and sport seats in black cloth (SXT and R/T), or premium black or red heated Nappa leather (SXT Plus and R/T Plus).
But this is not all. The new Dodge features the Beats Audio technology with a powerful 12-channel amplifier, three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel, two 3.5-inch speakers located in the rear doors, two 6 x 9-inch front-door woofers, two 6 x 9-inch speakers and a center-mounted 8-inch speaker located in the rear-shelf area, and an 8-inch Beats Audio trunk-mounted dual-voice coil subwoofer with sealed enclosure.
More importantly however is the featured 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine. It now generates 300 horsepower (220 kW) thanks to the addition of a new sport-tuned dual exhaust system and cold-air induction system. And those who want to experience even more driving exhilaration, there is the option of the 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine with 370 horsepower (272 kW), 535 Nm (395 lb-ft) of torque and four-cylinder mode Fuel Saver Technology. The Dodge Charger AWD Sport also can be configured from the Charger R/T and R/T Plus models.

Despite the huge power, both V-6 and V-8 models will include active transfer case and front-axle-disconnect system to improve real-world fuel economy. The AWD system in the Dodge Charger AWD Sport seamlessly transitions between rear-wheel drive and AWD with no driver intervention. When AWD is not required, the system automatically disconnects the front axle to maximize fuel economy while still providing the outstanding fun-to-drive performance and handling inherent in rear-wheel-drive vehicles.
At last but not least, the Dodge Charger AWD Sport includes paddle shifters and “sport mode.” When the Sport Mode is active, the gear changes are quicker and revs are held higher for even more performance-oriented driving. For even more control, the driver can also use the die-cast steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and view gear election through the full-color EVIC centered in the Dodge Charger AWD Sport’s instrument cluster.

D2Forged Dodge Challenger SRT8 Generates 880 Horsepower

D2Forged Dodge Challenger SRT8 is the latest and probably the coolest transformation by the tuning specialist from D2Forged Wheels. And the reason for this is maybe because it is done on
exactly one of the most famous muscle cars – the Challenger SRT8.
Originally this factory Dodge model produces not more than 701 horsepower (515 kW). However, the professionals form this tuning company done their magic and thanks to it the vehicle now generates the almost incomprehensible 880 horsepower (647 kW).
The fire breathing monster got the following additional builds: RT8 426 C.I.D. Motor, Southern Hot Rod transmission, pro-torque Converter, 9″ Ford rear conversion locking diff, stainless works headers and full exhaust system, F1A procharger and at last – full Eibach Race Suspension.
The next step which rounded off the appearance of this mighty car was to equip it with the 20/22″ D2Forged FMS-01 package. Their classic mesh design, bathed in brushed aluminum and chrome finishing matched perfectly and contrasted the bright orange paint of the car.

Dodge Charger Daytona Debuts at Los Angeles Auto Show 2013

2013 Dodge Charger Daytona is one of the best performance vehicles with the most distinctive visual stance and it is going to make its debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The reintroduced Charger Daytona will include two trim levels – R/T and R/T Road & Track, which will offer customers the unique style of the historic Daytona package with all the modern performance and technology.

Its powerful HEMI V-8 engine delivers exactly 370 horsepower (272 kW). The rear-wheel drive and iconic design, as well as the unique interior and exterior styling enhancements, perfectly combine heritage, performance and value.

The exterior colors are one-of-a-kind and include: Daytona Blue, Bright White, Billet Silver or Pitch Black. In addition, the Daytona package features special dark trim that builds upon the Charger’s iconic muscle car design. Satin Black adorns the front crosshair grille with heritage “R/T” badge, the custom vinyl hood graphic, roof wrap, rear R/T spoiler and the “DAYTONA” graphic on the rear quarter panels.

Furthermore, to be even more perfect the Daytona has to run on special set of wheels. Here the designers have chosen 20-inch five-spoke polished aluminum wheels with Gloss Black painted pockets.

Daytona models also include a ‘Daytona Blue’ engine cover, performance 3.06 rear axle ratio, high-speed engine controller, paddle shifters with sport mode and performance steering and suspension.

What about the interior? This Dodge’s Road & Track trim features black performance Nappa leather and suede heated and ventilated seats with Daytona Blue stitching and piping. On the other hand, the R/T offers the same appearance in a custom sport cloth seat. “DAYTONA” is embroidered in blue into the upper front seat backs.

Even more, the 8.4-inch Uconnect Touch screen and gauges on the instrument panel can be easily seen, as well as the trim around the shifter and cup holders on the center console. All of them are surrounded by dark brushed aluminum trim.

The final touches here include a Mopar bright pedal kit, a 552-watt 10-speaker Beats Audio System and a special numbered “DAYTONA” badge on the instrument panel that features the build number of that specific Charger Daytona model.

2013 Dodge Charger Daytona will be available in dealerships in the beginning of next year and will be produced in only 2500 examples, each with a serialized dash plaque. It price will begin at $33 000.
